Huge collection of antique wooden bobbins are now available in my Etsy Shop BrocanteArt
This time I have got a huge choice of colors and have sold quite a few
They are a true beauty as the wooden bobbins are very rustic and sturdy with the additional bonus of the wool and wool/cotton mix threads

I just got hold of the most wonderful box full of antique laces from a Country house linen collection
They will be put up for sale on my etsy shop but not just yet
I am really going to take my time with this hoard and spend time with them... imagining the history behind their existence, the skill always wondering what were these women thinking and living through as they applied their art, which now I am fortunate to hold.

Only I know how much I miss the laces now parted from me but I rest assured they have gone to good homes as we lace collectors are on the same wavelength

The big day closes in. Very happy with my antique apothecary jars turning into light focus points

We are having a Christmas dinner on Friday and I am super busy looking for table decoration, this is the time to go over the top, I just wish my dining table was twice as long to accommodate all the stuff I love, collect and quite honestly hoard. These mini installations use those much loved pieces that I cannot part with and are not being advertised in my etsy shop.
So what do you think?

When it comes to shabby chic styling the top tip has got to be keep the color palate super limited, add lace or netting for texture and something reflecting light for extending space.
As in the still life shown on pics above all these elements are present complementing each other and building up the interest as the eye travels and engages with the dimensions without the interference of color change.
