these wee lavender bags have been made out of small bits of fabrics that have been laying around for ages, I embroidered them all in one sitting last week so they are fresh out of press!!

make your own ribbon

Any leftover bits of silk, viscose or other fine textile can be made into a lovely long piece of ribbon

Cut it into fine strips of 1 inch or even smaller like 1/2 inch, now seam small ends together (this is the only time consuming task on this project) but once all the small ends are stitched together then it is just a long running stitch to the glorious end 

If you have wooden bobbins like i do, you can wound your new ribbon around the bobbin and alas a beautiful piece of recycled home made ribbon
